JDS workers arrested for throwing eggs, stones at CP Yogeshwar

BJP Legislative Council member C.P., who had arrived for the foundation stone laying of the works. There was an incident where JDS workers staged a protest against Yogeshwar and threw eggs at his car, accusing him of violating etiquette.

In Channapatnam, politics is raging between JDS and BJP workers regarding the issue of development. Clash between JDS and BJP workers in Bairapattana village turned violent and JDS workers threw eggs and stones at CP Yogeshwar. To control this, the police have conducted a lathi charge.

Today District In-charge Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan and Legislative Council MLA C.P. Yogeshwar was preparing to perform Bhoomi Puja for the concrete road work.

First, a stage was prepared for the program in Rampura village of the taluk and plans were made for the development of concrete roads in the rest of the villages. JDS and BJP were in competition that we were the ones who brought this grant, which was the reason for political infighting in the taluk.

The JDS workers have strongly opposed the laying of the foundation stone without inviting HD Kumaraswamy, who is also the former chief minister and MLA of the constituency.

The Chief Minister has released a special grant of 50 crores for the Channapatna Assembly Constituency, the CM has clearly instructed the officials to consult with the local MLA HD Kumaraswamy and get his consent to carry out the work.

But the member of Vidhana Parishad Mr. CP Yogeshwar protested that the program is being conducted in defiance of the order given by the Chief Minister. C.P. who had arrived for Bhumi Puja program for various development works in Rampura village here today. It is said that the JDS workers protesting against Yogeshwar disrupted the program and threw eggs at his car. In this connection, the police arrested many protesters.
